The PUMA is the first NIOSH-certified, OSHA-compliant, hooded pressure
demand SCBA designed to fit over beards and glasses. Not NFPA approved. This hood is made from coated Responder Plus multi-layer polypropylene material, one of the finest hazmat suit materials available. A flexible neoprene neck seal provides excellent protection against contaminants in IDLH atmospheres, even if the wearer has a beard, as long as it doesn't break the seal. The user can also wear non-safety glasses under the PUMA. A sports strap on the temples is useful to keep glasses in place while donning. The easily removable exhalation valve allows fast, easy servicing. The factory-installed removable silicone nose cup, available in three sizes, reduces fogging and CO2
build-up in hood.
